Yes, it might be advisable to ease up on the infatuation with Mousavi. After all, he was the one who ordered the mass-executions of 1980-81, as well as the summer 1988 executions of over 30,000 political prisoners, who were then buried in mass graves.

This is not to say that he hasn't changed, but I would advise caution. He is a part of the machine and might be nothing but a strategic asset to Ayatollah Khamenei who wanted to keep Khatami out of the race.

Mir Hossein Moussavi clearly does appear to be jewish as others have stated. Just compare his picture with Steven Spielberg. The resemblance is uncanny. I'm not anti-semitic and it doesn’t matter to me who controls the presidency of Iran, but is this why CNN and Washington are hysterically blathering and wringing their hands about the fact that he didn't win? Is this why Netanyahu suddenly changed his mind immediately after the election results were in, stating that he would now recognize a Palestinian state?

Does America truly respect democracy and free election and how would Biden or any other non -Iranian know that the election was rigged? As an American vet I'm no fan of Iran but whenever I see this type of over the top outrage from the left, I immediately become suspicious and worried.

Ahmadinejad got elected the first time because he bowed to the mullahs who really run Iran. That hasn't changed so there is no way he could be allowed to lose power in a free election. They held the power and released the results of the election before most of the votes had even been counted. You can bet that none of the overseas votes made it to Iran in time. The mullahs decided they stood a better chance at keeping their power with him than with any new man. The chief mullah has accepted the decision so a recount will not happen. But I think the violence of the opposition has shaken the mullahs badly - they will either crack down hard or try to appease the opposition by offering posts or giving ground on a few issues. Just enough to stem another revolution. I don't see the opposition going to war over this, unless an opposition leader is killed by the police.

The selection of Ahmadinejad is just another example of the Mullahs desparate clench on power. They hire thugs to brutalize the young and innocent protestors. Mullahs' days are numbered. God bless!
