this is the old back and forth. Given the fact that we have a Fed, Bernanke did the best he could. He was just doing his job. Nevertheless, he clearly did not see the oncoming tsunami and his response is certainly controversial. It is also the correct political response -that is, only the govt can get us out of this mess.
Who cares if Bernanke had a poor hand dealt to him? If you have bad cards, fold. Bernanke and Obama have bet it all on red, and Americans are becoming aware of it.
